Internship Details:

This medical internship in Bali provides a rare opportunity to work alongside qualified healthcare professionals in accredited primary care and emergency facilities. Interns are placed within clinics that deliver patient-centered services rooted in excellence, integrity and continuous professional growth.

As part of the team, you’ll observe and support day-to-day operations, including patient consultations, triage, emergency stabilization and follow-up care. You’ll also gain an understanding of how medical procedures, diagnostics and treatment decisions are made in real time. Services include primary care, emergency response, and medical assistance—offering broad exposure to healthcare delivery across Bali’s island network.

You will shadow multilingual doctors and nurses who serve both local and international patients, improving your medical English and intercultural communication skills. Depending on availability, you may also contribute to preventive health education, community outreach or optional seminars.

Placements are available in Ubud, Pecatu, Canggu, Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Gili Trawangan and assignments are made according to program needs and participant numbers.

Participant Requirements:

  • CV and passport copy
  • CRB (background) check
  • Reference letter from your university or supervisor
  • Motivation letter outlining learning goals and expectations
  • Copies of relevant certificates and academic transcripts

Duration: 4–12 weeks
Start Dates: Weekly, year-round (2025 & 2026)
Working Days: Monday–Friday
Working Hours: 5–6 hours per day
Facility: Accredited private healthcare provider
Locations: Multiple sites across Bali — Ubud, Pecatu, Canggu, Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan & Gili Trawangan
Supervision: Licensed medical professionals and local coordinators
Language: English (advanced level required)
Qualifications: Studies in medicine, nursing or allied health required

A Day in the Life:

Morning: Breakfast, then depart for the hospital
